Fort Dodge Trails:
Fort Dodge Nature Trail (3 Miles)
Begins at
Williams Drive at Snell-Crawford park entrance and leads northeast to
the city limits and ends at Highway D-14. The nature trail is
good for walking, biking, jogging, and cross-country skiing. The
trail is closed to motorized vehicles.
Soldier Creek Nature Trail (2 miles)
Begins at
Williams Drive and leads southwest to North 3rd Street bridge extending
to Central Avenue. The trail is 10 feet wide and all
asphalted. Good for walking, biking, rollerblading and
skateboarding. The trail is closed to motorized vehicles.
Phinney Park Trail (1 mile)
Begins at
Phinney Park entrance and leads south along the Des Moines River to
Avenue C hill. The trail is 10 feet wide and all asphalt.
Good for walking, biking, rollerblading and skateboarding. The
trail is closed to motorized vehicles.

Webster County Trails:
Brushy Creek
With
approximately 50 miles of multi-use trails, there are trail activities
for everyone including horseback riding, hiking, snowmobiling, cross
country skiing, and mountain biking. Mountain biking is allowed on all
multiple use trails. A map of these trails is on display at the
information kiosks located in the equestrian campgrounds. When using
the multi-use trail system: 1) Always call ahead (515)543-8298 for
current trail conditions 2) Stay on designated trails only 3) Respect
others' trail rights, 4) Report any trail problems to park staff.
Dolliver State Memorial Park
A trail will take
you out past the Copperas Beds which are unique sandstone formations
towering 100 feet above Prairie Creek. The trail then continues on up
into oak covered hillsides and back down past Bone Yard Hollow. Trails
also take you out to the Indian Mounds and up more wooded hillsides.
J.F. Kennedy Memorial Park
John F. Kennedy Memorial Park is a 400 acre multi-use facility that
offers something for everyone. There are 6 open shelter
houses with grills scattered throughout the park that are on a
first-come first-serve basis. There are miles of hiking
trails as well as a softball field and a volleyball court located in
the park
